Designed to take pure axial load only, the Thrust Ball Bearing is well suited for high axial load applications running at relatively low speeds. Available in both single direction and double direction arrangements, the Thrust Ball Bearing is made up of a series of housing washers and ball & cage assemblies.
Single direction thrust ball bearings take thrust loads in one direction only, they consist of a shaft washer, a housing washer and a ball and cage thrust assembly. Double direction thrust ball bearings are suitable for accommodating axial forces in both directions. They consist of one shaft washer, two housing washers and two ball and cage thrust assemblies. The housing washers and ball and cage thrust assemblies are identical to those of the single direction bearings.
