What are cartridges?

Cartridges house the split roller bearing, fitting into the pedestal like a ball and socket. This gives the bearing a tolerance for misalignment by moving the cartridge, seal and bearing together. This arrangement protects the bearing from contaminants, increasing the life of the bearing whilst reducing cost to the business.

ACORN stock a wide range of medium and heavy duty Cooper cartridges, both fixed and expansion type. Bespoke cartridges can also be sourced on request.
