How do helical offset tooth timing pulleys work and where are they used?

Helical offset tooth timing pulleys are toothed wheels which interlock with the teeth of the matching CONTITECH SILENTSYNC timing belt to transmit power across an application.

How do helical offset tooth timing pulleys work?

The grooves in the pulley mesh with the teeth of the timing belt to avoid slippage. The tension of the belt, combined with the friction of the meshed grooves and teeth cause the pulley and shaft to rotate together, conveying motion.

Where are helical offset tooth timing pulleys used?

Every application which uses a helical offset tooth timing belt will also need a matching timing pulley. They are most commonly found in lifting and conveying systems.
