What information do I need to select the correct claw coupling?

We’ll typically need: shaft diameters, required torque or kW and speed (rpm), type of driver and driven machine, expected misalignment, level of shock loading, and details of the operating environment (temperature, moisture, dust, chemicals). Are different insert materials available?

Yes. Inserts are available in different elastomer hardnesses and materials to suit various torque ratings, temperature ranges and chemical exposures.
