What are the advantages of choosing a Gates PolyChain® polyurethane timing belt?

Gates PolyChain® GT2 PU belt

PolyChain® combines the outstanding reliability of Gates timing belts and combines it with the robust construction of polyurethane.

The nylon tooth facing of this belt provides a durable wear surface. This helps to extend service life by reducing wear. Minimal downtime, reduced chance of machine breakdown and improved productivity are the result of PolyChain® timing belts.

The robust polyurethane construction of this belt is complemented by high-strength aramid tensile cords. This helps to keep stretch to a minimum whilst dramatically increasing the strength of this belt, making PolyChain® ideal for even the heaviest duty of applications.

PolyChain® also offers outstanding resistance to chemicals, oils, pollutants and abrasion, meaning that this belt is suitable for use in contaminated environments and harsh operating conditions.
