Andy Howard joins Acorn as Newly Appointed Lubrication Product Manager
Acorn Industrial Services Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Lubrication Product Manager, Andy Howard. Andy brings with him 18 years of technical lubrication experience, with a specialism in lubricants for the Food and beverage industry.
Andy’s previous experience includes time as an Engineer in multiple food processing plants before spending 18 years with ROCOL Lubricants as a Segment Specialist for Food Processing and hygiene. He has benefitted from a long and successful career working with lubricants, making him an expert in the field. Alongside this, Andy became a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers in 2001 and was also certified by BRCGS as a trained trainer for the Global Standard for Food Safety.
On his appointment, Andy said: “I’m looking forward to meeting everyone at all the branches and helping to develop the knowledge and experience of all staff with regards to lubrication. Lubrication, whether good or bad, has the greatest impact on the efficiency of any machinery, so being able to offer customers the best lubrication for their application is vital to maximise our customer's uptime.”
Andy’s level of product knowledge, alongside these accolades, will enable Andy to assist customers with their specific application requirements, helping them extend the life of their machinery and optimise their lubrication practices. He also makes a fantastic addition to the ACORN® training days, offering robust and tailored courses on lubrication products and best practices.
