What is an SKF square flanged bearing unit?
SKF square flanged ball bearing units consist of a square shaped bearing housing which is mounted perpendicularly to the shaft using four bolts, along with a radial ball bearing insert and a sealing solution.
These bearing units help to reduce maintenance requirements by protecting the bearing against contaminants. This also helps to ensure that the bearing is able to achieve its full service life.
These units are manufactured from robust cast iron as standard, with other housing materials also available such as pressed steel or thermoplastic, to suit individual operating conditions and application requirements.
