Electric actuator

The Electric Actuator, combines an electric motor, gear, push rod and guidance to provide a simple solution to many different actuation requirements. 

These actuators are telescopic and use a push tube using either a lead screw, ball screw or roller screw. They are complete with a basic electric motor, (typically 24v DC or 12v DC, but AC versions are also available) and gear to provide a fixed choice of speed and force. They usually have strokes in the 50mm – 700mm range, with forces from 50N to 500kN (from high performance versions). Electric actuators are used where the duty cycle is typically in the 10-25% range. An electric actuator, also referred to as Electric Linear Actuator or Electromechanical Actuator, provides a push/pull force and combines an electric motor, gear, ball screw, lead screw or roller screw and a thrust tube. These actuators come in many different types and sizes. Strokes are typically in the 50mm-700mm range, with forces available from 50N to 500kN. Electric actuators come complete with an electric motor, typically 24VDC or 12VDC, but AC versions are also available and work on a plug and play basis. Synchronised or simultaneous operation of multiple actuators is easy to achieve.

Lifting columns, or lifting pillars, also combine an electric actuator with specially machined and assembled pillar tubes. These offer high bending load capability with a compact design.

If you need to program the movement, control and speed/acceleration of an actuator, or you require 100% duty, then you will need a high-performance actuator.
