High performance chloroprene base compound is heavily reinforced with transverse fibres, providing excellent support for tensile members permitting higher running tensions and improved ability to absorb shock loads. How do cogged wedge belts differ from standard wedge or classical V‑belts?
Compared with classical V‑belts, wedge belts (SPZ/SPA/SPB/SPC) already offer higher power capacity in less space. The cogged versions (XPZ/XPA/XPB/XPC):

What are Protorque® cogged wedge belts?
Protorque® cogged wedge belts are high‑capacity wedge (narrow) V‑belts with moulded cogs on the inner side. The wedge profile increases power transmission in a compact drive, while the cogs improve flexibility, reduce bending losses, and help the belt run cooler.
