What is a square flanged ball bearing unit?

Square flanged ball bearing units consist of a square shaped bearing housing which is mounted perpendicularly to the shaft using four bolts, along with a radial ball bearing insert and a sealing solution.

These units are manufactured from robust cast iron as standard, with other housing materials also available such as pressed steel or thermoplastic, to suit individual operating conditions and application requirements.
