Exploring the range of Simatec maintenance products

When you’re responsible for keeping equipment running, the basics matter: consistent results and less time lost to avoidable failures. The Simatec range (simalube, simatherm and simatool) is built to make common maintenance jobs simpler and more repeatable.

Below is a straightforward breakdown of each range, what it’s used for, and what to consider when selecting the right option.

What does Simatec do?

Simatec design maintenance products that help maintenance teams reduce avoidable failures and carry out routine work with less risk of component damage. In simple terms: consistent lubrication (simalube), safe heating (simatherm), and proper tools for fitting and removal (simatool); the fundamentals that protect bearings, housings, and shafts.

Simalube automatic lubricators

Simalube automatic lubricators help you deliver consistent grease or oil where manual lubrication is awkward, unsafe, or frequently missed. Units are compact and available in multiple sizes, with adjustable dispensing periods to suit your maintenance plan.

Where simalube works best

  • Confined and hard-to-reach spaces (space-saving thanks to the compact size)
  • Applications where consistent lubrication improves reliability
  • Installations in challenging environments, including underwater
  • Ambient temperatures of -20°c to +55°c

Sizes available

Simalube is available in 5 sizes: 15ml, 30ml, 60ml, 125ml, 250ml. All sizes offer a freely selectable dispensing cycle of 1 to 12 months, which can be changed at any time. Units are available filled or empty for self-filling and can be refilled up to three times. They also contain non-toxic substances, which supports straightforward disposal at the end of the dispensing cycle.

Simatherm induction bearing heaters

If you’ve ever fought with a tight interference fit, you’ll know that getting the right heat is often the difference between a clean installation and a damaged bearing. Simatherm induction heaters are designed to deliver even and quick heating of bearings and other circular metal workpieces, so you can fit components smoothly without applying excessive mechanical force.

This matters because improvised heating methods can create multiple risks at once: uneven expansion, overheating, contamination, and unsafe handling. Simatherm is designed to remove those variables. Heating is controlled and repeatable, and many models include automatic demagnetisation, which is especially useful where residual magnetism could attract metallic particles and contribute to premature wear.

The range covers five options to suit a range of bearing sizes and workshop needs:

Simatherm hot plate HPS/HPL

At the smaller end, the simatherm hot plate units are a simple solution where hot plate heating is suitable. They provide a controlled heating surface for bearings and similar components, helping you avoid improvised methods that can introduce contamination or uneven temperature. A practical choice for maintenance teams looking for a simple process.

IH 025 volcano

The IH 025 volcano is a compact induction heat design for smaller bearings and workpieces where speed matters. It delivers quick, even heating to support clean installations, and helps reduce the risk of damage caused by excessive mechanical force during fitting. It’s well-suited to maintenance environments where space is limited but consistent results are still essential.

IH 045

The IH 045 is a popular mid-range option that balances capacity with everyday usability. It’s designed to provide precise, uniform heating to support safe bearing mounting, while keeping operation straightforward. Features such as automatic demagnetisation help reduce residual magnetism after heating.

IH 125

The IH 125 is built for larger bearings and higher throughput maintenance work, where controlled heating needs to be repeatable across a wider range of sizes. It delivers fast, even heating without the drawbacks of open flames, oil baths, or overheated ovens. Many teams also value the selectable power reduction, which gives more control when heating smaller parts within the heater’s capacity.

IH 210

The IH 210 is the heavy-duty option in the simatherm range, suited to larger bearings and more demanding applications. It’s designed to improve both safety and consistency when handling larger components, with controlled heating that helps reduce fitting time and risk of installation-related damage.

Simatools for mounting and dismounting bearings

Even with good practice, bearing work can become expensive when the wrong method damages a shaft, housing, seal, or adjacent components. Simatool is designed to bring control to that job: purpose-built tools that let you mount and remove bearings faster and safer, reducing the chance of collateral damage whilst helping to extend component life.

A simple but valuable detail of simatool products is usability: sets are designed to be user-friendly, with brief instructions directly in the case. That helps consistency across shifts and reduces reliance on knowledge held by a few individuals; particularly useful when you want replicated maintenance outcomes and safer working practices.

Fitting tool FT 33

The FT 33 is designed to support correct bearing mounting by applying force in a controlled way, helping you to avoid load paths that can damage rolling elements or raceways. It’s practical choice for routine fitting work where you want faster installation and less risk of avoidable bearing damage.

Fitting tool FT-P

The FT-P fitting tool supports safe, consistent mounting with an emphasis on controlled application and ease of use. It’s intended to help maintenance teams standardise fitting practices across shifts and engineers, reducing the reliance on improvised methods that can lead to premature failures.

Maintenance kit MK 10-30

The MK 10-30 is a workshop-ready kit designed for teams that want a consistent approach to common bearing maintenance tasks. It brings key tools together in one-set up, helping reduce downtime by making the correct method easy to follow, especially on repeat jobs.

Bearing puller BP 61

The BP 61 bearing puller is designed for controlled dismounting of bearings fitted internally, helping you remove bearings efficiently while reducing the chance of damaging shafts, housings, or adjacent components. It’s particularly useful where access is limited and would increase the risk of scoring or distortion.

Bearing puller BP 160

The BP 160 offers similar controlled removal capability for larger bearings and tougher internal dismounting jobs. It’s built to help you remove components more safely and gently, supporting faster turnaround while protecting surrounding machine elements during breakdown or planned maintenance.

Seal puller SP 50

The SP 50 seal puller is designed to remove seals without damaging the surfaces they sit against. That matters because seal removal is a common point where housings get gouged or sealing faces get marked, creating avoidable leaks and rework during assembly.

Twin puller TP 150

The TP 150 twin puller supports stable, balanced pulling of ball bearings and radial shaft seals for more demanding removal tasks. By improving control during dismounting, it helps reduce the risk of sudden releases, component damage, and unsafe handling; particularly on bearings that are tight, seized, or awkward to access.

Bearing handling tool BHT

The BHT bearing handling tool is designed to support safer handling and positioning of medium, large and very large bearings during maintenance work. It helps reduce the risk of dropping bearings, contamination during installation, and hand injuries, while also making it easier to manoeuvre components in tighter work areas.

What makes Simatec’s products stand out?

For most maintenance engineers, it comes down to consistency and risk reduction. Simatec products are designed to help you control the variables that typically cause failures: inconsistent lubrication, uncontrolled heating, and avoidable damage during fitting and removal. When those basics are right, equipment life improves and downtime drops.
